Morpho 3D, particules characterization in 3D
Image analysis technology for dry applications : particles size and shape characterisation with real 3D computing. Vibrating primary dispersion coupled with secondary conveyor belt drive.
Instrument overview
Morpho 3D is developed specially for 3d particles characterisation, where sizing can be computed through particle width, particle length, and particle thickness distribution.
The working principle is based on two cameras, 90°C oriented, with the same resolution, synchronised together and catching the particle at the same time in a controlled flat position. Both images are computed by Callisto 3D, which then generates a unique real three dimensional draw of each particle. Regarding thickness, it is not an estimation based on two dimensional images but it is a real thickness of the particle, the same as when the particles are measured one by one with a caliper.
Morpho 3D works with particles in range from 500µm to 10mm,, it is fully controlled by software and requires little maintenance and cleaning.
With Occhio Morpho 3D you can measure:
- Particle size
- Real particle 3D (particle width, length and thickness)
- Particle shape
- Particle colour
Related software
Data and images of every single particle are stored in an Occhio binary database. The instrument is driven by Callisto 3D software, which controls the entire analysis: ‘SOP’, statistic, reporting and data storages.
